Work has gotten underway on the Allen Events Center, a 6,300-seat entertainment facility that will be part of a 3 million-square-foot mixed-use development straddling the cities of Allen and Fairview, about 25 miles north of Dallas. TheMGHerring Group, which is spearheading the entire 400-acre mixed-use project, is partnering with the City of Allen to finance construction of the $52.6 million entertainment venue, which will ultimately fall under the city's ownership. Located at the intersection of U.S. 75 and Stacy Rd., Allen Events Center will essentially be part of a development within a development, as it will be incorporated into The Village at Allen, which, along with The Village at Fairview, will form the largest mixed-use development in the State of Texas. Global Entertainment will take on management responsibilities at the Allen Events Center upon its scheduled completion in November of next year.
